Four-time Olympic gold medal winning sprinter Michael Johnson is set to launch a trio of apps this summer
Four-time Olympic gold medal winning sprinter Michael Johnson is set to launch a trio of apps this summer to coincide with the London 2012 Olympiad.
Heralded as ‘The Fastest Man In The World’, Johnson made history at the 1996 Summer Olympics when he became the first man to win both the 200m and the 400m gold at the same games. The legendary runner is the fastest man ever over 400m, and also held the world record for the 200m until recently overtaken by Usain Bolt. One of the most celebrated athletes of all time, Johnson has since hung up his famous gold running shoes and will be one of the BBC’s lead pundits for the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic Games.
Now Johnson is turning his eye to the competitive mobile phone app market with a range of apps intended to both educate and entertain users.
The first two apps, Michael Johnson’s Motiv8 and Michael Johnson’s Fun Run will be launched at a special launch event at Apple’s Regent Street store from 2pm on Wednesday 11th July.
Michael will be talking about his apps in an exclusive Q&A at the launch event hosted by former Team GB Olympic athlete Iwan Thomas. Media attendance at the Q&A is by invite only, for more information please email matt.morris@moshen.com or call 01524 586725.
